You Are My World

To me, you are not another person,

female or friend.

To me, you are my sun,

my moon, and my stars.

Like the sun,

you start and brighten up

my day with your love and care.

Like the moon, you guide me

through the darkness of the world

with your wisdom and understanding.

And when the sun does not shine

nor does the moon glow,

I look into your eyes

that glitter like the stars

in the sky and

I find hope and patience.
